Use of integration methods for discharge measurement in non-uniform flow in confusor of the flume
Zeiner, Pavel ; Zubík, Pavel (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with the measurement of flow rate in flume type PARS P3. First, there is a search for a convenient profile in confusor for research and consequently to construct graphical dependence from which to read the value of the correction coefficient for many flow rates in flume.
The influence inclination of supply pipe to the Q/H characteristic of measuring flume PARS P3
Naiser, Dominik ; Žoužela, Michal (referee) ; Zubík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the inlet pipe on the Q / H characteristic of the measuring flume PARS P3. Measurements of Q / H characteristics were performed under different inclination of the inlet pipe and the measuring flume. Subsequently, these measurements were processed and the corrections and uncertainties of the measurements were determined from the results.
The determination of minimal countercurrent distance of the water surface sensor from the thin-plate V-notch weir.
Kopečná, Monika ; Zubík, Pavel (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This thesis clarifies the issue of the measuring flows with the help of capacity measurement systems using Q/h characteristics and also describes measuring techniques for determining the water surface level. The various types of measuring weirs and their Q/h characteristics are described in detail. It also mentions the position of the installation of the sensor. The main task is to find a practical minimal countercurrent distance of the water surface sensors used in practice for use with a V-notch weir in the form of experimental measurements in the water management research laboratory at the Department of Water Structures Faculty of Civil Engineering in Brno. The weirs used for this experiment had top angle cutouts of 90°, 53°8´ and 28°4´. The obtained data is evaluated and subsequently the minimal countercurrent distance of the water surface sensor is determined. The thesis also includes recommendations for further research.
Big Data Processing from Large IoT Networks
Benkő, Krisztián ; Podivínský, Jakub (referee) ; Krčma, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to design and develop a system for collecting, processing and storing data from large IoT networks. The developed system introduces a complex solution able to process data from various IoT networks using Apache Hadoop ecosystem. The data are real-time processed and stored in a NoSQL database, but the data are also stored  in the file system for a potential later processing. The system is optimized and tested using data from IQRF network. The data stored in the NoSQL database are visualized and the system periodically generates derived predictions. Users are connected to this system via an information system, which is able to automatically generate notifications when monitored values are out of range.
Reinforced concrete tank
Vašinová, Martina ; Klusáček, Ladislav (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis deals with structural design and static assessment of reinforced concrete wastewater treatment plant. Specifically the calculation and assessment to the ultimate limit states (ULS) and seviceability limit states (SLS) of the foundation slab, perimeter wall, flume and his parts. On the basis of reports are prepared drawnings - reinforcement drawings and drawing shapes. The design was made on the values of the outputs of computer program Dlubal RFEM 6.0.1.

The aplication of CSS in swimming flume
Cagaň, Štěpán ; Jurák, Daniel (advisor) ; Chrzanowská, Babeta (referee)
Title: Application of CSS (Critical Swimming Speed) in the swimming flume. Objectives: Purpose of our pilot study was to find out, if load during swimming on speed of anaerobic threshold in the flume on level validated by accredited workplace corresponds with load during swimming in the swimming pool. Methods: For verification of our purpose, for each proband we first determined speed of anaerobic threshold, using Critical Swimming Speed protocol. Subsequently we monitored values of blood lactate and heart rate during swimming on anaerobic threshold speed level in the pool and thereafter in the flume. We have compared measured values. Results: We found out, that load in the flume is much lower, than load in the pool. We also found out, that stream of water in flume is not constant. Keywords: flume, swimming, swimming simulator, lactate, front crawl stroke, critical swimming speed

Apache Hadoop as analytics platform
Brotánek, Jan ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Kerol, Valeria (referee)
Diploma Thesis focuses on integrating Hadoop platform into current data warehouse architecture. In theoretical part, properties of Big Data are described together with their methods and processing models. Hadoop framework, its components and distributions are discussed. Moreover, compoments which enables end users, developers and analytics to access Hadoop cluster are described. Case study of batch data extraction from current data warehouse on Oracle platform with aid of Sqoop tool, their transformation in relational structures of Hive component and uploading them back to the original source is being discussed at practical part of thesis. Compression of data and efficiency of queries depending on various storage formats is also discussed. Quality and consistency of manipulated data is checked during all phases of the process. Fraction of practical part discusses ways of storing and capturing stream data. For this purposes tool Flume is used to capture stream data. Further this data are transformed in Pig tool. Purpose of implementing the process is to move part of data and its processing from current data warehouse to Hadoop cluster. Therefore process of integration of current data warehouse and Hortonworks Data Platform and its components, was designed
